Originally from Holland, Maurice moved to the Kootenays, Canada in 2006. Graduated as an Industrial Product Engineer, once in Canada he started his passion for graphic design and started a local magazine in Kimberley BC.

In 2017 he started a brand new venture and became the publisher of Kootenay Living Magazine. Besides being a publisher for over 10 years Maurice broadened his expertise in marketing, graphic design and photography. With over 40 magazine issues published, over a 1000 advertisements designed, numerous branding and marketing projects, and photo shoots covered from portrait, product, to lifestyle & activities, there really is no job he can’t handle when it comes to promoting a business, organisation or event.
